Visit the class website and review the current class material and links

Week 1 (Due second class)

1. Create a 5 to 7 generation pedigree/lineage chart (3 generations minimally)

2. Create a family group sheet for at least 3 families (all children of a husband and wife) listed on the pedigree chart you will be submitting in item 1

3.  All charts (pedigree and family group sheets) may be downloaded from a website referenced in the Getting Started Class, OR, they may be printed out from a genealogical software program

4.  If you are using a genealogical software program to produce the above charts, ALSO, include a Genealogical Descendant Report in the Register format

5.  Based on criteria discussed in class, write a Query that “demands a reply”

Week 2 (Due third class)

Visit at least five genealogical websites of your choice. Discribe at least three features of each site you feel will help you in your genealogical research. Give examples of your findings

Week 3 (Due fourth/last class)

Using a Census History Form or several Census Forms for the United States (or Foreign) censuses 1850 through 1940, follow and individual through three or more censuses. Describe the information you find in each census and note any discrepancies between the different censuses
